I will be blowing up the digital literacy standards into poster size and using it as a guide for our class- seeing where we need to explore more and where we can improve.

I am going to put the technology into the kids hands and create a school lip-dub. Also, I loved the idea about the "Mystery Skype".

Tweeting by text! What a great way to build communication. Today's Meet will make a difference in a number of classrooms, excited to get students engaged!

Mystery Skype would be so much fun! I really want to share this with staff. How do you get connected with other schools? I also want to Tweet school announcements, but need help in how. I also would like to explore a school wide Genius Hour with staff. Genius Hour Fair?

Host an iPad "how-to" session as our iPads have just arrived. We would like to have staff become comfortable with them before we do a school roll out. Our teachers need to familiarize themselves and leave their comfort zone first.

We are going to try twittering during class (back channels). We are also interested in the idea of giving kids time in class to follow their own ideas (passions) - less tech, but more engagement with students and learning. We want to give students more of a chance to be "hands-on" with their learning.

You don't have to be a technology expert to try new things but we are willing to learn and to share what we discover. We want to share inquiry learning.

Move from lurker to tweeter, Genius Hour, Mystery Skype, take risks and move out of our comfort zone - move to where the magic happens.

Blacklock Fine Arts wants to try Mystery Skype with two of our grade 3/4 classes. We are also interested in doing the Genius Hour, and perhaps a 60 second story telling activity (one minute video in 60 second clips) or a lip-dub.

Mystery Skype will be something that one teacher has mentioned to bring back and try in her class. We are very interested in growing genius hour within our classrooms. Thinking of starting with a small scale and working from there. Also, there were many inspirational videos that we would like to share with our staff. So much to think about and we just have to pace ourselves and take baby steps. Rome wasn't built in a day and we won't be tech wizards over night.

meaningful learning; engagement; in kids passion areas; moving beyond an inch deep and a mile wide.; starting small in one direction; then consult with kids about what we are doing; teachers just need to jump in and move past the fears we may have

Each teacher has a personal goal for using technology that they follow through with. The personal goal can be small or large, but should include some form of inquiry for students or self.

We would like to do a "skills assessment" of staff to determine where they are, technically, where they want to be technically, what technologies they would like to learn for their classrooms. Its not so much about the technology per se, but how to use what you have to further engage students.

Genius hour-giving students the opportunity after lunch during our double block to pursue any topic they have passion for. We need to move away from the pressures of covering every outcome so students have the opportunity to be creative and innovative.
