Students in my class have been using Scratch for about an hour a week since the beginning of November, so this gave us a chance to participate in something larger and try out some of the great activities that are available on the code.org website. Students have been working with variables, learning how to control a sprite (the Scratch term for an avatar), and adding their own sounds and pictures to create multimedia projects.
Even if you didn’t participate in the Hour of Code in December, the activities are available any time for you to try with your class. Happy coding!
